He has successfully partnered with businesses in manufacturing, construction, government and professional services to design, model and deliver results in change and transition, policy harmonization, learning & development, employee and Trade Union relations and recruitment. Based in the UK, Angus has worked with both local and international concerns, and applied his skills to design and set-up of employee operations throughout the EU. Highlights of his consulting & work experience include:
- HR Design & Structuring: For the UK Border Agency, designed and structured the HR Organization along with all supporting processes, including resourcing, learning, and Organizational Design. Enabled implementation of a performance driven culture with people optimization strategies at every stage. Managed the organization-wide PeopleSoft implementation for the Defense Medical Education and Training Agency.
- HR Input for outsourcing: As HR consultant for a 100 million IT outsourcing bid, strategized all HR aspects including cost modeling, identification of HR implications & risks and legal/contractual negotiation of HR schedules. Deliverables included presentation of the HR solution, joint project plan development, development of a bespoke TUPE toolkit, training, staff and union consultation, rationalization of employment terms and conditions as well as pension and payroll transition.
- Human Resources Business Partner: Played the key role of HR Manager and Business partner in multi-national road network and transportation organization. Facilitated organizational change through effective management of HR operations, focus on cost-effective resource acquisition and management, successful trade union negotiations and policy harmonization.
- Learning and Development: In the role of L& D consultant for the UK Passport Office, reviewed and revised all Learning & Development processes to drive desired outcomes. As Senior Learning and Development Advisor for the Defense Medical Education and Training Agency, led the effort to achieve “Investors in People” accreditation. Designed and developed a comprehensive training and development strategy for the Armed Forces Pay and Administration Agency.
